Two knights jousting at Medieval Times

Check In Before Dinner and a Show

Pack the car and check in to your home-away-from-home — your dream vacation home, that is. As the Vacation Home Capital of the World®, Kissimmee has some of the most unique houses, condos, villas, and even mansions you could dream of. Treat the kids (and kids at heart) to a house with its own movie theater or game room, or even its own lazy river!

If you want to stay in a six-bedroom house like the one Aseky and her family enjoyed, check out our guide to finding the best vacation home for your style and budget. The Bonnaire family loved having a spacious home base with their own private pool to relax by after a busy day.

After you’ve settled in and made yourself at home, it’s showtime! Head to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Here, you and your crew will enjoy dinner and a show at North America’s most popular dinner attraction. Travel back to the 11th century and embark on an unforgettable journey as you watch six knights compete to become champion in a tournament of jousting and epic sword fights, while you enjoy a four-course feast in true medieval, pre-silverware fashion, and cheer your knight to victory.

After an exhilarating morning at the amusement park, it’s time to head back to your vacation home and enjoy a lunchtime pool party. Grill up a tasty lunch on your backyard barbecue and kick back and relax — this is vacation bliss. After you’ve taken a breather, refueled, and recharged, it’s time to check out Disney Springs.

Evening

Explore Disney’s themed retail, dining, and entertainment complex inspired by Florida's charming waterfront towns, filled with boutiques, world-class restaurants, and cutting-edge entertainment, including live music nightly.

If you’re visiting Disney Springs with kids, we recommend checking out Splitsville Luxury Lanes for dinner and bowling. The menu at this lively indoor-outdoor restaurant offers something for everyone — from mouth-watering burgers to fresh-rolled sushi, hand-tossed pizzas, and gluten-free rice bowls.

Meanwhile, the “golden age of bowling” atmosphere offers a modern dining experience with retro style to spare — spanning two floors, five bars, a billiards area, and 30 bowling lanes, often accompanied by live music.

Bike Around Celebration Before Experiencing Mind-Twisting Illusions

Explore the Museum of Illusions

Morning

It’s the last day of your trip, but there's still plenty of fun to be had. First, head to the town of Celebration. Known for its architecture and famous for its nostalgic elegance, it’s a destination that can’t be missed. The best way to explore is with Celebration Bike Rental, pedaling through picturesque neighborhoods and a vibrant downtown area. Take in the natural wildlife along scenic, winding trails and waterfront pathways.

After working up an appetite, it’s time to chow down at Celebration Town Tavern. This comfortable, family-owned seafood and steakhouse is located across from the lakefront in downtown Celebration and where you can meet friends for happy hour, take the family for a midday meal, or spend the afternoon watching football on the big screen. Pro tip: Try their $5 pineapple brunch mimosas. Aseky loved them!

Afternoon

One last stop on the itinerary is one of Orlando’s newest attractions, the Museum of Illusions. Just a few miles from Kissimmee and with more than 50 exhibits, the Museum of Illusions has more mind-twisting, eye-tricking fun under one roof than any other "edutainment" destination in Central Florida.

Explore the fascinating world of mental perception — and deception — at this must-see destination and leave with a new appreciation for your awesome imagination! Roam the expansive Infinity Room, defy the laws of gravity in the Reverse Room, and shrink to miniature size in the Ames Room. This exciting new attraction is Insta-worthy, with lots of eye-catching photo spots.
