Family driving through Wild Florida Safari Park

Buckle up for an awe-inspiring animal adventure at Wild Florida's Drive-Thru Safari Park

The short jaunt that Instagrammer Angela Jones and her husband, Matthew Lewis took includes several activities sure to satisfy thrill seekers and chill chasers alike. Follow their itinerary, recapped below, for an unforgettable and perfectly balanced vacation that takes advantage of Central Florida’s top destinations.

Day 1

Angela and Matthew hit the ground running with golf and a great night out — after checking into their vacation home, of course!

Reunion Resort

Finding the perfect home away from home is essential for any vacation. Angela and Matthew certainly found the spot of their dreams at Reunion Resort Vacation Home Rentals. These rentals can accommodate anywhere from three to 13 guests. And each one is unique, so you’ll find the spot that’s right for you. Best of all, these vacation homes have access to the amenities of the Reunion Resort, including the full-service spa, waterpark with a lazy river, and three signature golf courses.

Golfing At Reunion Resort

Angela and Matthew took full advantage of their access to amenities by playing a round on one of the three world-class courses at Reunion Resort. Whether you’re a skilled golfer or new to the game, you’ll love playing through these challenging, beautiful courses. It’s been less than a day, and this vacation is already shaping up to be a hole-in-one. And there’s so much more to come!

The Wheel at ICON Park

They say no vacation here is complete until you see Central Florida from 400 feet — and we agree! The Wheel at ICON Park gives you a thrilling bird’s-eye view of our neck of the woods from high above International Drive. Each ride takes about 20 minutes, so you’ll have plenty of time to take everything in. And trust us, there’s a lot to see — from the shining city lights to Central Florida’s natural beauty.

Tin Roof

After filling up on views, it’s time to fill up on food with an unforgettable meal at Tin Roof. If you’re a music lover, this is the spot for you. After all, this is where you can catch rising stars performing while you dine on fantastic food in an eclectic environment. Not sure what to sample? If you love spice, check out their take on Nashville hot chicken. It’s sure to leave your mouth feeling like, you guessed it, a cat on a hot tin roof!

Day 2

Day two is all about getting out and exploring the great outdoors. Whether you’re a thrill seeker or a chill chaser, there’s something for everybody to do outside today.

Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park

Begin your day by feeling the rush as you zip across the treetops — literally — at Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park. You can test your outdoor mettle as you climb nets, swing across a trapeze, and do your best Tarzan impression 50 feet in the air atop a pine tree forest. And from there, the only way down is a thrilling 425-foot plunging zip line. Who needs coffee to start the day when you have thrills like these?!

Bok Tower Gardens

Balancing out the morning of thrills with a laid-back afternoon stroll through Bok Tower Gardens sounds like a perfect combo. This National Historic Landmark is known for its winding trails and peaceful, easy vibes. This is also the home of the Singing Tower, which houses one of only 200 Carillon found in North America. What is a Carillon, you ask? Well, it’s a musical instrument with bells ranging in weight from 16 pounds to nearly 12 tons!

Jaleo by José at Disney Springs

A delightful day calls for a delicious meal — and tonight, you’re headed to Jaleo by José Andrés at Disney Springs. With a menu from the James Beard Award-winning chef, José Andrés, Jaleo brings the sensational cuisine of modern Spain to Central Florida. Enjoy tasty tapas, savory paellas, sangrias, and a carefully curated selection of Spanish wines, cocktails, and sherries. One of our favorite things about Jaleo is that the meats are cooked over a wood fire right in the restaurant!

Day 3

Wine, dine, and gator time! Day three is full of unique experiences you’ll remember long after your vacation is over.

Wallaby Ranch

Remember on day one when you rode the Wheel at ICON Park? If you came away from that experience wishing you could’ve gone a little bit higher in the sky, you’ll love Wallaby Ranch. Here, you’ll enjoy a thrilling hang gliding adventure as you take flight some 2,000 feet in the air — complete with the wind in your face and an expert instructor at your side.

Island Grove Wine Company at Formosa Gardens

Next, sip, sample, and savor at Island Grove Wine Company at Formosa Gardens. This winery and microbrewery is dedicated to healthy living, delicious food and drink, and environmental sustainability. During their visit here, Angela and Matthew enjoyed a delightful meal and wonderful wine tasting experience. Be sure to try the Beef au Jus — it’s the chef’s signature dish!

Wild Florida

From the garden to the glades — the Headwaters of the Florida Everglades, that is! Wild Florida gets you up-close-and-personal with some of the coolest creatures that call Central Florida home. Start with a drive-thru safari, where you’ll see more than 100 animals, ranging from bison and cracker cows to zebras and watusi. Then, head out on the water for an airboat ride through protected swamps and marshes to get a chance to see gators, eagles, and more in their natural habitat.

Day 4

It’s day four, and you’re ready for more! Close out your vacation with a feast and some relaxing fun for everyone.

The Paddling Center at Shingle Creek

Kick-off (or should we say “Paddle off”?) your last day in Kissimmee at The Paddling Center at Shingle Creek. You’ll spend your morning kayaking through the Headwaters of the Everglades during your time here. Angela and Matthew did a two-hour Cypress Forest Guided Kayak Eco-Tour. It’s the perfect amount of time to explore some of the most pristine spots Central Florida has to offer.

Estefan Kitchen

For the final item on Angela and Matthew’s itinerary, they enjoyed brunch and a show at Estefan Kitchen. Owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan, the staff here know there’s a rhythm to everything — from dancing and performing to cooking out-of-this-world dishes. Enjoy live performances that pair perfectly with all the options on the brunch menu — from chicken and waffles to the opened-faced Cuban egg sandwich.
