This 36-hour vacation itinerary is here to help your family make the most of a quick weekend trip to Kissimmee. You won’t be able to see and do everything when you visit — and that’s OK! We’ll be ready to welcome you back for another vacation for years to come.

Here’s just one of many ways to spend a couple days in Central Florida.

Day

1

Entrance to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida, featuring the iconic blue NASA globe and the fountain-lined Space Mirror Memorial under a bright blue sky.

Reach for the stars at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex — just a short drive from Kissimmee — where Florida’s space history and future come to life.

Morning

See Kennedy Space Center

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel or vacation rental, it’s time to kick off your day with a little outdoor adventure.

If everyone in your family is aged seven and up, take the fun to new heights at Orlando Tree Trek. The whole family can enjoy some much-needed family bonding in the great outdoors. From climbing nets and crossing rope bridges to soaring through the air on a zip line, the sky's the limit.

Or, if you'd prefer a day trip out to the coast, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is out of this world. With incredible sights to see, meet and greets with real astronauts, and Astronaut Training Experience, adventure awaits.

A family enjoys an outdoor meal together, with a young girl excitedly holding a tropical drink while adults raise their glasses around a table filled with lunch dishes.

When the kid’s drink steals the spotlight, you know it’s a meal to remember — sunny sips, big smiles, and family fun served fresh.

Afternoon

See Celebration Town Tavern

If you’re visiting Kennedy Space Center, plan to bring a picnic lunch with you and take your time exploring the complex. Afterward, you might want to head back to your accommodations for naptime. The excitement of seeing all the rockets, IMAX movies, and museum can tire the little ones out.

If you opted for Orlando Tree Trek, you’ll have worked up quite an appetite from all that adrenaline. Some restaurants are open for dine-in but most have takeout if you'd prefer! Celebration Town Tavern is located just a few miles from the park and offers plenty of filling options like seafood, burgers, and tavern kid favorites. They also have plenty of outdoor seating where you can enjoy views of quaint downtown Celebration

After lunch, spend your afternoon at Old Town Kissimmee and Fun Spot America for some exhilarating and relaxing, old-fashioned fun. You can stroll around Old Town and take advantage of the delicious eateries or you can stop by Mortom Manor — the year-round haunted house! Then, head over to Fun Spot America for some thrilling action that's perfect for the entire family.
