“I remember when...” Reflections from the RMA Staff

Events

Objects and images hold memories; they act as references for lived experiences and carry multiple meanings, both those inscribed by the artist and those we interpret as viewers. The act of remembering is mediated by anecdotes, associations, and evocations, allowing artworks to function simultaneously as cultural documents and deeply personal expressions. Selected by the staff of the Rollins Museum of Art, this exhibition presents works from the permanent collection that explore memory and storytelling across a wide range of media and themes. “I remember when...” Reflections from the RMA Staff invites reflection on the power of art to tell stories and serve as a conduit for dialogues about the past and present.
