Trees4Travel
From meetings to miles, creating impact takes root
Travel has an impact—but here, it can leave something positive behind. Through the Trees4Travel program, Experience Kissimmee plants trees to help offset emissions from staff business travel and qualifying meetings hosted in destination hotels. Since May 2023, more than 68,000 trees have been planted to help partially compensate for travel emissions and other environmental impacts of tourism, supporting reforestation, biodiversity, and renewable energy initiatives along the way.

Water Safety Initiative

With pools, lakes, water parks, and waterfront experiences woven throughout Osceola County, water safety is an important part of the visitor experience. Experience Kissimmee helps facilitate a destination-wide initiative alongside local agencies, including law enforcement, emergency services, vacation home partners, and resorts, to provide guests with trusted water safety resources and education. The goal is simple: helping visitors stay informed, prepared, and safer around the water while enjoying everything Central Florida has to offer.

Recognized globally for excellence is destination leadership and accountability
Experience Kissimmee is proud to hold Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) accreditation from Destinations International, a globally recognized standard for excellence in destination management and marketing. Most recently, the organization earned reaccreditation with Distinction—the highest level awarded—signifying that it not only meets but exceeds rigorous industry standards across governance, finance, research, marketing, and destination development. Fewer than 10% of accredited destination organizations achieve this designation. This recognition reflects a continued commitment to transparency, performance, and responsible stewardship of tourism across Osceola County.
