This 36-hour vacation itinerary is here to help your family make the most of a quick weekend trip to Kissimmee. You won’t be able to see and do everything when you visit — and that’s OK! We’ll be ready to welcome you back for another vacation for years to come.

Here’s just one of many ways to spend a couple days in Central Florida.

Day 1: Epic Adventures

Morning

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel or vacation rental, it’s time to kick off your day with a little outdoor adventure.

If everyone in your family is aged seven and up, take the fun to new heights at Orlando Tree Trek. The whole family can enjoy some much-needed family bonding in the great outdoors. From climbing nets and crossing rope bridges to soaring through the air on a zip line, the sky's the limit.

Or, if you'd prefer a day trip out to the coast, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is out of this world. With incredible sights to see, meet and greets with real astronauts, and Astronaut Training Experience, adventure awaits.

Afternoon

If you’re visiting Kennedy Space Center, plan to bring a picnic lunch with you and take your time exploring the complex. Afterward, you might want to head back to your accommodations for naptime. The excitement of seeing all the rockets, IMAX movies, and museum can tire the little ones out.

If you opted for Orlando Tree Trek, you’ll have worked up quite an appetite from all that adrenaline. Some restaurants are open for dine-in but most have takeout if you'd prefer! Celebration Town Tavern is located just a few miles from the park and offers plenty of filling options like seafood, burgers, and tavern kid favorites. They also have plenty of outdoor seating where you can enjoy views of quaint downtown Celebration

After lunch, spend your afternoon at Old Town Kissimmee and Fun Spot America for some exhilarating and relaxing, old-fashioned fun. You can stroll around Old Town and take advantage of the delicious eateries or you can stop by Mortom Manor - the year-round haunted house! Then, head over to Fun Spot America for some thrilling action that's perfect for the entire family.

Evening

What’s the best way to keep kids entertained during dinner? With an epic show, of course. Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is sure to be a big hit with your family. Enjoy a meal fit for royalty while your kids marvel at the famous knights' joust and sword fight. Animal lovers in the family will enjoy seeing the horses showcase the beautiful art of dressage with graceful jumps and promenades.

Day 2: Wildlife Tours & Big Entertainment

Morning

Central Florida is home to some incredible wildlife. You can devote several hours, or even several days, to exploring it.

Get an early start and witness local wildlife in its natural habitat. Take an airboat tour of swampland or the Everglades with Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures and you could see alligators, birds, snakes, turtles, and more around the area. Choose a package that includes lunch at Boggy Bottom BBQ or choose to do a private airboat ride tour. If you decide to stay longer, you can experience the fun of mining or listening to stories from a true Native American. With so much to do, there's a new adventure at every turn.

Afternoon

After your airboat tour, grab a quick lunch in the area. There are lots of restaurants to choose from – Explore our Restaurants & Dining for more options.

You won’t want to spend too long at lunch because more exciting adventures await. Gatorland is the perfect place for your family to spend the afternoon. Whether you’re 5 or 55 years old, the wide variety of animals you can see at this 110-acre theme park will knock your socks off. Of course, there are the gators - and even albino gators. But there are also crocodiles, tortoises, and snakes, too. And you’ll meet the park’s Florida Panthers, Neiko and Lucy, and the Florida Bobcats, Osceola and Abiaka. From animal encounters and off-road adventures to a zip line over the breeding pond, this afternoon is one big adventure!

Evening

Time's up! You've reached your 36-hour trip, but if you want to add dinner or a stop for souvenirs, finish up your day at Disney Springs or Universal CityWalk

Six chefs at Disney Springs were awarded the James Beard award - and you'll see why when you visit. Savor the flavor at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' Florida Kitchen, or try cultural delights at Masaharu Morimoto's Morimoto Asia. You can also listen to the outside DJ at the entertainment stage across from World of Disney, or stroll through the shops for Disney merchandise and other brand-named favorites, including Zara, Sephora, and Basin.

If you decide to visit Universal's CityWalk, you'll be delighted to find entertainment and fun. Enjoy dining at Hard Rock Cafe, NBC Sports Grill & Brew, or Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen. All have their own flair from favorite bands and sports to delicious desserts and savory cuisine. For after-dinner drinks or desserts, stop by Voodoo Doughnut or Fat Tuesday. If you prefer to window shop, Universal Studios Store has your favorite park merchandise!
