Where to Fish for Bass in Kissimmee
Check out any of our bass fishing partners below to start planning your day out on the water. One thing will become evident very quickly: The best places for a day on the water to catch bountiful bass are Lake Kissimmee, Lake Tohopekaliga (also known as Lake Toho), and East Lake Tohopekaliga.
Home to the Bassmaster Classic and Florida Bass Federation Tour, Lake Kissimmee spans more than 35,000 acres and is extremely generous in its broad, wall-hanger sized bass offerings. Fish for the big one in the largest lake in Osceola County and before you know it, you could be competing with the pros!
Lake Toho is massive as well: covering over 18,000 acres (over 42 miles in circumference!), it’s home to many bass charter boats on a daily basis because no other lake can match the trophy bass possibilities! The man-made fish-attractors provide especially popular fishing areas on the lake (view an interactive map here!), and your guide will give you the best tips to catch the big one!
Connected to Lake Toho by a canal, its smaller cousin, East Lake Tohopekaliga, is different but just as good for a day on the water in its own way. Covering almost 12,000 acres, this lake is exceptionally clear and is different from its bigger cousin due to its lack of islands, vegetation, and flowing feeder creeks. Still, though, you’ll be able to find an award-winning bass in its depths.
