What is Brightline?

Brightline is a modern, eco-friendly high-speed rail service—the only one of its kind in the United States. Designed for comfort and convenience, it connects popular Florida cities like Orlando, Miami, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, making it the perfect option for trips that are too long to drive but too short to fly.

What is the Brightline Orlando Station like?

Wait until you see it! You’ll first park your car at the Terminal C parking garage on Level 5. Head through the sliding doors and walk straight toward the Brightline terminal.

Once you check in and check your bags, you’ll enter the security checkpoint. After that, you’re free to roam the terminal. On the right side is the Premium Lounge, the middle features the Mary Mary bar and gift shop, and the left side features the SMART lounge and kid-friendly area.

Before your train takes off, you can do a little shopping, grab a bite to eat, take a conference call, or simply relax and utilize the free Wi-Fi.

Where do I park my car?

Guests in Orlando can start their trip with parking at Orlando International Airport’s three surface lots surrounding the Brightline station or at Parking Garage C. Rates begin at $2 for 30 minutes and go up to $24 per day. 

Accepted payment methods include cash, Discover, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, E-PASS, and SunPass Plus (with Easy Pay).

Off-site parking is also available through WALLYPark, with rates starting at just $10 per day. Due to high parking demand, Brightline recommends using WALLYPark and arriving at least 1.5 hours before your scheduled train departure to allow ample time for parking and check-in.

How much will Brightline cost from Orlando to Miami?

One-way SMART fares start at $79 for adults and $39 for children, with groups of 4–29 automatically saving 25%. One-way PREMIUM fares start at $149 and include access to a private lounge, priority boarding and seating, complimentary snacks and beverages, and one checked bag.

Pricing may vary based on demand, booking window, and travel dates — so planning ahead can help you score the best fare.

Should I upgrade my Brightline ticket to PREMIUM?

We think so! Think of it as your first-class option. You’ll have everything from SMART fare, including free Wi-Fi, hand-stitched leather seats, and multiple power at every seat. Plus, access to exclusive lounges, complete with complimentary snacks and beverages, as well as iPads, scanners and printers, and conference rooms. Your first checked bag is free, and additional support, such as Uber vouchers, are available.

How long will Brightline be from Orlando to South Florida?

Orlando to West Palm Beach is approximately two hours Orlando to Miami is approximately three and a half hours.

Does Brightline check your bags?

The coaches have ample room for compact travel items. Up to two carry-on items are allowed per guest. Larger bags may be added to your ticket in advance and checked through to select stations. PREMIUM fares include a complimentary checked bag SMART fares are $25 per bag.

Can I bring my bike?

Fully assembled bicycles and e-bikes are not permitted. Our trains are not equipped to carry fully assembled bikes - not even as a checked item. 

Regular sized scooters and folding bikes under 48" in length and 30" in height are allowed and must be stowed in the luggage tower as one of your carry-on items. Bikes and scooters must be folded if designed to do so, and safely stowed in luggage areas while on the train. 

Just be sure to add your scooter and folding bikes to your ticket upon check out, just as you would add golf clubs and other specialty items.

Can I bring my pet?

The train is pet-friendly but read the terms before making plans and check that you add them to your ticket upon check out.

Is the train accessible?

Yes! With level boarding to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, and wheeled bags with ease, the train is ADA-accessible.

Are the trains kid-friendly?

BrightKids Zone at the Station offers a place for the little ones to relax, play, and snack. Get out that energy together and make everyone happy!

Family restrooms and mothers’ rooms are available on-board and in-station, too. Plus, with family-friendly meals, including pizzas, snack packs, and more, you’ll surely find something they’ll love to eat.

Family groups can sit together on board the train. There are even special double-facing seats for four people. Game time anyone?

Strollers, car seats, and booster seats may be carried on board and won’t count toward your carry-on allowance. Strollers must be stowed in the luggage tower while on board.
