Central Florida’s Spookiest Spots

When darkness falls across the land ... you'll find friends and families treating themselves to the best Halloween ever in Kissimmee.

Pumpkin carving of Mikey Mouse at Magic Kingdom

Halloween is always a blast in Kissimmee. From special events to iconic attractions, if you’re joining us for Halloween this year, you’re in for a treat (and that’s no trick). So double, double, toil, and trouble, here are some Kissimmee Halloween events starting to bubble!

There’s Plenty of (Not-So-Scary) Disney Fun to be Had

There are plenty of treats waiting for you at Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns on select nights — from Aug. 11 to Nov. 1, 2023. Enjoy plenty of ghoulish fun and entertainment, including meet-and-greets with Disney characters in their Halloween costumes, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and special fireworks.

The park is also looking its best with plenty of Halloween-themed décor — including glowing pumpkin wreaths — along Main Street U.S.A. and beyond. As you make your way through the park, be sure to get your photo taken at PhotoPass Halloween Magic Shot locations. You might discover some spooky special guests in your pictures, including Zero the ghost dog, flaming pumpkins, and three very familiar-looking hitchhiking ghosts!

Foodies won’t be in for a fright during their visit. That’s because there are all kinds of special food and drinks throughout the Magic Kingdom this Halloween season. Pumpkin spice lovers rejoice; you can enjoy a Pumpkin Spiced Waffle Sundae or slurp back a Pumpkin Spice Milkshake. You can also sample a few Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcakes, the Poor Unfortunate Souls Float, a Mickey Monster Mash Burger, Orange and Black Sugar Churros, and more!

Survive One of the Scariest Haunted Houses in America

Are you the type of person who boasts about how nothing scares you? Well, one visit to Mortem Manor in Old Town Kissimmee will quickly change that. After all, this two-story terror offers frights from the moment you walk in the front door. As you make your way through the manor’s horrifying halls, you’ll encounter specters, ghosts, witches, and more surprises around every corner. Oh, and did we mention it’s almost pitch black? In fact, the only light you’ll have is the frightlight you’re provided. Still, feeling boastful? Because we’re scared just thinking about this place!

Need More Than One Haunted House? Try Ten at Universal Orlando Resort

If you’re on the “haunt” for something really creepy, make your way to Universal Orlando Resort's Halloween Horror Nights. The iconic event includes 10 terrifying horror houses, five scare zones, exclusive merchandise, live entertainment, and more.

And, of course, you absolutely don't want to miss the thrills and magical fun at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Resort Orlando. Walk along the streets of Diagon Alley™ where you might run into Deatheaters you can duel.

Building a Boo-tiful Halloween at LEGOLAND

LEGOLAND Florida’s annual Halloween spooktacular, Brick or Treat, returns this year on select dates in October for another exciting installment. Brick or Treat offers up neighborhood-style trick or treating with a fun LEGO twist! There’s sweets, seasonal shows, and special appearances by kooky characters like Rockin’ Frankenstein, Brickbeard, Mummy, Spider Lady, and the legendary Lord Vampyre.

Dress up in your favorite costume for an unforgettable trick-or-treating experience at LEGOLAND's Brick or Treat. You’ll find Rockin’ Roadie Treats, the Cauldron of Candy, and Ghoulish Graveyard Sweets — just to name a few — scattered throughout the park. Then, check out performances of The Groovin’ Graveyard and A Candy-Coated Curse that are running throughout the day. You can take in these performances with plenty of space for you to enjoy the show (and your candy).

Gators and Ghosts and Goblins (Oh My!)

Over at Gatorland, you can get in on the Halloween fun at Gators, Ghosts & Goblins. This family-friendly event takes place weekends from Oct. 14 through Oct. 29 and promises all sorts of kooky fun. Take the Trail of Terror

Prepare to face 13 years of fears at the Trail of Terror, a bone-chilling event hosted by St. Cloud Parks and Recreation. As darkness falls upon Peghorn Nature Park, the brave-hearted can venture into the depths of horror. This year's haunt promises 13 terrifying Halloween scenes, each more nightmarish than the last, including a spine-tingling tribute to Stranger Things. But beware, for this harrowing experience is not suggested for small children. Join the trail for a scream-filled journey on Oct. 20-21 and 27-28 if you dare.

Explore the Haunted Creek

Dare to tread into the chilling unknown at the Haunted Creek, lurking within the ominous confines of Mick Farms. Venture deep into the heart of fright through a haunted corn maze, where twisted paths beckon the bravest souls. The forbidden woods hold secrets that only the boldest are fated to uncover. Every Friday and Saturday night in October, the Haunted Creek awaits those who dare to challenge the shadows. Caution reigns for this treacherous journey. Only the courageous should brave the lurking terrors that lie ahead and parental discretion is advised. 15 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult.
