Downtown Shopping and Dining

An eclectic mix of family-owned shops with modern or vintage finds and galleries line Main, Broadway and Emmet streets, where visitors can find trinkets artwork to take home. Historic Downtown Kissimmee also is the largest independently owned restaurant district in Central Florida, with more than 30 family-owned eating establishments. Visitors looking for a relaxing evening activity also can check out the Kissimmee Valley Farmers Market, where they can meet and support local farmers and artisans between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. the first Friday of each month.

Local Arts

Pick up a map and wander through the historic streets of Downtown Kissimmee as part of the Kissimmee Sculpture Tour. This free tour leads visitors to dozens of original artworks donated by artists each year. While on the tour, visitors can also spot landmarks, such as Florida’s oldest operating courthouse or the Monument of States. Don’t forget to look at the colorful walls. The ARTisNOW project, developed in partnership with Osceola Arts, City of Kissimmee, Experience Kissimmee, and SherwinWilliams, brought together local artists to create vibrant, unique murals.

Kissimmee Lake Front Park

You can’t leave Kissimmee without enjoying Florida nature. To unwind from a day of shopping and dining, walk over to the grassy waterfront park on Lake Tohopekaliga. Explore the many walking paths that leads to the lighthouse, spend some time on the fishing pier or rest under the many picnic pavilions or shaded playgrounds.
