Top 5 Things You’ll Learn About Florida at Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures features 32 acres of landscaped park that includes many unique activities such as a Native American Village, Fossil & Gem Mine, a new restaurant, and much more.

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures has been the best place to enjoy nature for the past 28 years. In 2016, this 32-acre landscaped park expanded and added many unique activities such as a Native American Village, Fossil & Gem Mine, a new restaurant, and much more. Here are some things you will learn about Florida at Boggy Creek:

Airboat Tours

See Kissimmee wildlife from an airboat tour — a great way to enjoy nature while feeling like you’re flying through the wetlands of Florida’s Everglades. Find alligators, turtles, eagles, and even cows on your tour. Each airboat ride is unique, and filled with surprises and facts about nature from the tour guides.

Native American Village

After a fun airboat ride, stop by the Native American Village, exclusive to Boggy Creek. Meet Little Big Mountain (Oskwanontona Pia Roya), who will educate you about Native American Culture and how they survived in the swamps. The Village replicates rooms belonging to each member of a traditional Native family, with genuine artifacts and hand-made creations by the Big Mountain family. Little Big Mountain and his family provide customized Educational Programs for families and groups.

Fossil & Gem Mine

The Fossil & Gem Mine is a must-do while at Boggy Creek. With a water tower and over 70-feet of mining troughs, this mine is the longest in the country! This fun activity comes with natural gems and rare fossils that you get to keep. You could find rocks and fossils such as emeralds, amethysts, invertebrates, fossilized amber, and even some rubies. This is an activity for everyone, especially those who enjoy collecting unique stones and fossils.

Gator Pond

Straight from Gatorland, Boggy Creek has more than 30 young alligators ready for an up-close and personal view of Florida’s favorite reptile. You can watch these cute gators sunbathe, or you can feed them with gator chow; in the meantime, the knowledgeable guides will teach you about these fantastic creatures and their natural environment.

Lily’s Butterfly Garden

Lily’s Butterfly Garden and Lorelei’s Critter Collection are the newest additions at Boggy Creek! Guests of all ages can explore and learn about Florida's natural wonders. Take an airboat ride and experience Florida's Everglades, complete with wild gators!

Boggy Bottom BBQ

You can stay on the property for lunchtime and visit the new Boggy Bottom BBQ restaurant. Their recipes have been handed down for generations, and each dish is made in the authentic Florida-style BBQ with breakfast served all day. We tried their brisket and pulled pork nachos while relaxing in front of their lakeside patio.

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures offers each family member or group something special. Vacation packages are also available for those interested in exploring more of Kissimmee. They are open every day from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Don’t forget to take a photo with Rufus, the resident Airboat Captain, on your way out!
