More than half of our neighbors here in the Big, Bold Heart of Florida identify as Hispanic or Latino, and that shows up everywhere from the lineup at Kissimmee Lakefront Park to the specials board at your favorite lunch spot. This year's national theme, "Unidos, Somos Más" ("Together, We Are More"), feels especially fitting for a community where Venezuelan, Colombian, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, Mexican, and Peruvian traditions share the same stage, often literally.
Below, we're starting where the celebration runs deepest: Kissimmee. Then we're widening the lens across Central Florida, because Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 is a packed month, and honestly, one lakefront isn't big enough to hold it all.
In Kissimmee and Osceola County
City of Kissimmee Hispanic Heritage Month Reception and Art Exhibition
The City of Kissimmee kicks off the season. Osceola Arts fills Kissimmee City Hall with original work from Hispanic artists across Central Florida, on view from Sept. 14 through Nov. 13, 2026. It's a free, walk-through way to spend a lunch break or an afternoon.
Followed by an evening reception at City Hall's Rain Garden, featuring live music, food, and a celebration of the city's Hispanic community. The reception is from 5 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 22.
Viva Osceola
Osceola County's longest-running Hispanic celebration returns to Kissimmee Lakefront Park's Festival Lawn on Oct. 11, presented by The Osceola Chamber. Now well past its 30th year, the free, all-day festival brings live music, folklore performances, and food from across Latin America to the lakefront.
¡Hola History! at the Osceola County Welcome Center & History Museum
This permanent exhibit traces Hispanic and Latin American influence on Osceola County from its earliest settlers to today. It's open year-round, so there's no wrong time to stop in, though Hispanic Heritage Month is as good an excuse as any.

Sunset at the Zoo: Celebrating Hispanic Heritage
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Sanford closes out its summer Sunset series with a Hispanic heritage celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2026, featuring music, cultural activities, and after-hours animal encounters.
Latin American Performances at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
Dr. Phillips Center spotlights Latin artistry all season long, from the intimate Judson's Live series featuring OKAN (Sept. 15), the Pablo Aragona Quintet (Sept. 18), and Colombian singer-songwriter Santiago Cruz (Sept. 24-25), to the flamenco-and-salsa spectacle "Benise: 25 Years of Passion!" (Sept. 24) and the Peruvian dance production "Pride: The Rhythm of the Chosen Hearts" (Sept. 26).
