Experience Kissimmee Gives Back to Community after Record Breaking TDT Collections

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The tourism industry has successfully rebounded from the effects of the pandemic. The Tourist Development Tax (TDT) collections from FY 21-22 reflect that success.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The tourism industry has successfully rebounded from the effects of the pandemic. The Tourist Development Tax (TDT) collections from FY 21-22 reflect that success. Experience Kissimmee is proud to share that total TDT for FY 21-22 was the highest in Osceola County history. FY 21-22 collections totaled more than $76 million, a 25% increase from the pre-pandemic years FY18-19).

To recognize the extraordinary success, Experience Kissimmee has approved a one-time additional contribution to each of the seven organizations supported through its contractual obligations. The total additional contribution for the seven organizations is $577,455 and has been divided by the percentage of the contractual obligation each organization received. Each organization will be presented with a check during the next Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, April 27.
