Kissimmee, Fla. (October 2017) – This season, give gifts and take vacations. As sparkling lights, heartwarming cheer, a little snow, and Santa Claus come to town—here’s everything to know about the holiday fun in Kissimmee this season.


Holiday Happenings

Celebrate the season at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom® Park at the Walt Disney World® Resort. On select nights from Nov. 9 – Dec. 22, enjoy cookies, cocoa, and snow flurries at this specially ticketed event—complete with a shimmering Cinderella Castle, joyous music, and characters in their festive finery. Throughout the season at the park, enjoy special holiday theming, décor, food, and entertainment including A Frozen Holiday Wish castle-lighting ceremony. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.

For more Holiday happenings, guests can head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ from Nov. 9 – Dec. 31 for a Flurry of Fun. During this time the park transforms, with sparkling décor and scenes of the season. Returning to the park is the nighttime projection and fireworks show Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Along with For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, and Santa Claus’ daily meet-and-greet at the Once Upon a Time.

Experience the season’s sights, sounds, and flavors during the International Festival of the Holidays at Epcot® from Nov. 19– Dec. 30. Choose from 15 different holiday kitchens serving sweet treats and holiday delights from across the world. Additional festivities include, the Candlelight Processional, a retelling of the Christmas story as told by a celebrity narrator accompanied by 50-piece orchestra and a mass choir, nightly fireworks, and holiday entertainment throughout the World Showcase—celebrating each country’s traditions and heritage.

Holiday cheer, and a few jeers, await at Universal Orlando Resort™’s Holiday Celebration. For the first-time ever Christmas is arriving at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. Wizards of all ages can enjoy themed decorations, food, and performances, along with a nightly projection show at the Hogwarts castle. In addition, guests can enjoy the return of Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s and the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular from Nov. 18 – Jan. 6.

Join LEGO Santa and LEGO Toy Soldier at LEGOLAND Florida®, from Dec. 2 – Dec. 25, for a colorful Christmas celebration full of sparkling lights, LEGO building activities, and featuring a giant Christmas tree made of thousands of LEGO and DUPLO® bricks at the Christmas Bricktacular.

This season head to the sea during SeaWorld®Orlando’s Christmas Celebration™. On select nights Nov. 24 – Dec. 31, guests will enjoy unique holiday moments in a wintery, watery wonderland—including festive shopping and food, and live shows inspired by the natural world.

Capture the spirit of the season with a stroll along the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs®—with dozens of custom decorated holiday trees, each dedicated to a popular Disney theme. Beginning in November, special entertainment, holiday décor, and a chance to meet Santa, await, along with more than 150 restaurants and retailers.

Seasonal surprises, snow in Florida, and strolling carolers await at Now Snowing in Celebration. Gather around downtown Celebrations as the streets are flooded with snow and a majestic tree-lighting. Happens nightly, from Nov. 25—Dec. 31, and features an ice rink, live music, and more.

For heart-warming holiday fun beyond the parks, enjoy the Festival of Lights Parade, on Dec. 9, as it illuminates the streets of historic Downtown Kissimmee. In addition to the parade, this event features seasonal foods and drinks, live performances, and an appearance from Mr. And Mrs. Claus.


New Attractions

For a change in pace, try out a high-speed electronic superkart on a two-level modular track at Andretti Karting and Games. Home to bowling, arcade games, laser tag, an extreme ropes course, and more—this all-new restaurant and entertainment complex is holiday fun for the whole family.

Opening just in time for the holidays, discover Florida’s natural beauty from the comfort of a 12-foot high, custom-made, off-road monster vehicle at the all new Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure at Gatorland®. Traverse over hills, through mud puddles, and a real alligator grave yard on this one-of-a-kind experience, starting in December.

Take a swing at a brand-new golfing attraction, TopGolf Orlando, a high-tech driving range where visitors can compete and score points for each shot. The 65,000-square-foot venue includes a restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, rooftop terrace, and more than 200 televisions.



From Nov. 21 – Jan. 7, enjoy Christmas at Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, featuring joyous holiday displays, millions of Christmas lights, the Cirque Dreams UnWrapped Live Stage Show, more than two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures and two-story tall ice slides, at ICE!® featuring Christmas Around the World.

Make memories and history during the holidays at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center's Kiss-Story in the Making event. The resort will seek the Guinness World Records title for “most couples kissing under mistletoe in one location” on Dec. 7. Following the event, participants will experience an exclusive walkthrough of ICE! featuring Christmas Around the World along with live entertainment and other winter-themed experiences at the resort.

Discover the magic of the holidays in Kissimmee at the New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular on Dec. 31 at the OMNI Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. Guests can also enjoy seasonal buffets, special parties, the completion of an extensive expansion project that includes installation of the area’s only resort wave pool, an 18-hole miniature putt-putt course, and brand new suites.
