The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1993, is known as Central Florida’s resident professional orchestra, comprised of accomplished musicians recruited from around the world. Orlando Philharmonic Conductor, Eric Jacobsen has been hailed by the New York Times as “an interpretive dynamo,” conductor and cellist. Jacobsen has built a reputation for engaging audiences with innovative and collaborative projects. Jacobsen is in his third year as the Music Director for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. He has already started a new trend in creative programing and community engagement that has engaged a wider audience.
