The North Shore Birding Festival is January 16-20, 2020 and celebrates an amazing birding hot spot, the Lake Apopka North Shore. Expert birders, including the famous Greg Miller, played by Jack Black in movie The Big Year, lead the trips behind normally locked gates on the northwest part of the Lake Apopka North Shore. There are 37 birding and photography trips, and 3 keynotes with dinners. There is no additional festival registration fee, and trip fees are donations to Orange Audubon Society’s nature and environmental education center fund. Trips are $35 for morning trips with lunch and $25 for afternoon trips without lunch. Keynotes with dinner are $20. All details and registration link are at: www.orangeaudubonfl.org/festival and the Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/northshorebirdingfestival/
