You Deserve a Spring Break Vacation! Top Ways to Treat Yourself and SAVE on Your Kissimmee Getaway

You survived the winter, started thinking about spring cleaning (maybe), and are already booking those summer activities. It’s time to give yourself a break…you DESERVE a vacation! Before the summer craze begins, take advantage of special spring break deals to book the getaway you know you’ve earned.

You can start your planning process by checking out our special discounts webpage with exclusive offers to sweeten the deals…literally. Then comes the fun part – planning your perfect spring getaway! Whether you’re looking to relax and rejuvenate or straight-up energize with the help of a few thrills, we have a few helpful tips to inspire your itinerary.

1. Take Time to Be You

In Kissimmee, you have the right to just be you! Whether you choose to dress up in a wizard cloak at Universal Orlando Resort, embrace your inner pirate or princess at Walt Disney World Resort, or wear your favorite sea animal t-shirt at SeaWorld Parks and Resorts Orlando, Kissimmee is on the doorstep of all these world-famous theme parks. Speed around on roller coasters, eat sweets until your heart’s content (calories don’t count on vacation, after all), and simply spend time being yourself.

Every day at the parks feels like a celebration – capped off with spectacular nighttime shows and fireworks – so whatever you or your family need for this getaway, you can find at these family-favorite locations. You’ll want to make sure you bring your camera to catch everyone at their theme park finest, too! You'll be at your best when you're fully embracing your true, fun self and you'll want to catch every minute.

2. Give Yourself a Night Out

Whether it’s a relaxed date night or an unforgettable outing with friends under the stars, Disney Springs has everything you need for a memorable evening out on the town. Your taste buds are in for a serious treat here, especially if you’re craving a late-night snack (or…full meal). From inventive dishes to comfort-food classics and delicious desserts, there’s plenty of flavor to savor. From the Asian flavors of Morimoto Asia and delectable seafood of The Boathouse, to the live music at the roaring 20s-themed venue The Edison and swinging salsa music of Paradiso 37, you’ll be tasting and swaying all night long.

Universal CityWalk

To see star-worthy entertainment – or to become a star yourself – Universal CityWalk is the place to go. For a live reggae band that is sure to make you “get up, stand up” every evening, visit Bob Marley – A Tribute to Freedom, a venue inspired by the legendary Jamaican musician’s love of music. And if you want to actually be in the show, make a stop at CityWalk’s Rising Star, where karaoke is next-level complete with backup singers and a live band. Ready for your big break? Warm up those pipes and get ready to sing your heart out! Plus, there’s dining galore at this nighttime hot spot from almost-too-pretty-to-eat milkshakes at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, to a taste of island life at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, and so much more.

Kissimmee is full of fun in the sun, but when nighttime comes the good times just start rolling.

3. Treat Yourself with Retail Therapy

If nothing relaxes you more than a good retail therapy session, then you’ve come to the right place. Kissimmee boasts impressive upscale malls, including The Loop open-air shopping center and The Mall at Millenia, as well as Disney Springs and Promenade at Sunset Walk. These shopping must-stop locations all offer a collection of branded and unique shops nestled among restaurants and other entertainment. Looking for even more deals? At the two Orlando Premium Outlets locations and the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, you’ll be able to purchase high-quality goods from the likes of Michael Kors, Kate Spade, and J. Crew at bargain prices.

4. Check Something Crazy Off Your Bucket List

Looking to add a bit of thrill to your spring getaway and make your friends back home jealous of your incredible vacay? What better way than taking to the sky on an epic zip line ride.

Experience Gatorlands Screamin’ Gator Zip Line, which stands over seven stories tall, has multilevel launch pads, and provides views of both crocodiles and alligators. Plus, the Gator Gauntlet, the world’s only wheelchair accessible zip line, enables those with mobility challenges to strap into a special harness system and safely glide 350 feet over 130 giant alligators.

For a full Tarzan-like experience, Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park will have you swinging. Set in a pine forest, the 15-acre park features a pair of 425-foot zip lines and obstacles including swings, ladders, and suspended bridges.

5. Become One with Nature

If vacation to you means reconnecting with the great outdoors, Kissimmee has exactly what you need. You can start with a serene kayaking tour through the headwaters of the Everglades and make friends with local turtles thanks to The Paddling Center at Shingle Creek. How about planning a day of hiking in The Disney Wilderness Preserve, or a bike ride through the charming town of Celebration. For the ultimate view of Florida’s natural beauty, you can even schedule a spectacular hot air balloon ride. Trust us…this will clear your mind and inspire you to keep exploring.

To make booking as easy as possible, we have a few additional tips to get you started:

1. Book your departure or arrival flight for a weekday. Fares are typically higher on the weekend and lower mid-week.

2. Rent a car. Many resorts and hotels have shuttles to the airport and theme parks, but a car will give you freedom to explore more of the area.

3. Plan ahead. Get your theme park and attraction tickets in advance and make sure you arrive early. Reminder: You can find great deals by visiting our website!

4. Florida is known for warmth and sunshine. Make sure you wear sunscreen. Also, stay hydrated!

5. Be sure to include time to just relax. This is YOUR spring break and you deserve to sit back and enjoy it.
