Around the world, St. Patrick’s Day is a cause for celebration, camaraderie, and good craic (that’s Irish for good times). In Kissimmee, while there might not be any leprechauns with pots of gold at the end of the rainbows, there are lots of ways to have fun just like the Irish do! This year, March 17 falls on a Tuesday, but the weekend leading up to it will be full of opportunities to dance a few jigs, sing a few tunes, and toast Ireland with a pint or two of green beer and a loud “sláinte!” Grab your best green garb and may the road rise up to meet you as you check out these exciting St. Patrick’s Day activities in Kissimmee.
Disney Springs Irish Experiences
The epicenter of all the Irish action at Disney Springs is at rollicking Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant. From acclaimed Irish chef Mark O’Neill in the kitchen to a 130-year-old bar top imported from Dublin, this pub brings the life and soul of Ireland to the warmth of Kissimmee. It’s famous for the Mighty Irish Festival, running March 13-17 this year. Authentic Irish food is always on the menu (try the Emerald Isle-style Fish & Chips), plus there’s a one-of-a-kind whiskey pairing dinner on March 16. While you delight in your meal, live Irish dancing and music surrounds you. With a center stage and a main stage right up front, you’ll have a recipe for an unforgettable St. Patty’s experience. Even the little ones are called up on stage to dance with the talented Irish and Scottish performers. This place fills up quickly, so call ahead to reserve a table (especially if you’re there during March 13-16). The big day itself will be first come, first served.
Also, there's a new house on the block and they're serving up their own St. Patrick's Day festivities. On the other side of Disney Springs, near NBA Experience, you'll find City Works Eatery & Pour House. Join in on the fun on March 17 and choose to grab a Guinness (or one of the other 90 beers on tap) while catching up with friends or kicking back to watch the college basketball tournament. It's the ideal spot for a twist on the traditional Irish pub experience and a sports fan's pot of gold.
March for Meals St. Patrick's 5K Run/Walk
For the more energetic families, how about a 5K fun run (or walk) for a great cause? Gather your friends and family and join the Osceola Council on Aging to raise awareness of senior hunger and funds to support Kissimmee’s local Meals on Wheels program. This year’s race takes place on Saturday, March 14 and wearing green gear is highly encouraged! There are prizes for top finishers and the most spirited team, plus you’ll be treated to serene views of Kissimmee Lakefront Park as you make your way through the course.
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill
With a name like Finnegan’s Bar & Grill, you know you’re in for a treat. Located on the New York streets of Universal Orlando Resort, its emerald exterior beckons you in for a drink or two. Inside, you’ll be served up some seriously good food in a lively atmosphere. Fuel up for a memorable St. Patrick’s Day with a hearty meal (like the Guinness Beef Stew), or settle in with a drink and join a raucous sing-along of traditional pub songs like “Whiskey in the Jar” and “The Irish Rover.” At Finnegan’s Bar & Grill, the pints flow like the River Shannon and the craic is mighty!
Capone’s Dinner & Show
Fancy dinner and a live show this March 17? Join the gang at Capone’s Dinner & Show for the St. Patrick’s Day Special — an incredible evening complete with a buffet meal, great drink specials, and a cabaret and speakeasy stage show.
