Here are a few tips to keep in mind before heading to Gatorland. 

1. Protect Yourself from the Sun

Your adventure begins as soon as you walk through the alligator mouth at the entrance of the park so be sure to bring a small bag of essentials. You’ll definitely want to pack a sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a refillable water bottle to prepare you for the day ahead. 

2. Have Your Camera Ready

Throughout the park, you’ll find many, many friendly creatures lurking around. Snap a quick photo and capture the moment when meeting these Florida natives. From alligators and crocodiles to exotic birds, tortoises, and more, Gatorland is an animal haven.

3. Prepare for the Unknown

At Gatorland, there are surprises around every corner! Have you ever seen a white alligator? Well, you’ll spot several rare, albino alligators right here. Plus, the Baby Gator Marsh is home to more than 60 of the tiniest alligators that’ll stay in their protected area until they reach 18 months old.

Hold on tight because the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line is an attraction you can’t leave without experiencing! Soar over the alligator breeding marsh at about seven stories high and see breathtaking views of natural Florida around you. For those needing a bit more assistance, Gatorland has the Gator Gauntlet that is accessible for all!

6. Take a Break

With so much to do and see, it’s a good idea to stop and rest at one of the food and beverage spots. With three different places to chow down, you and your family can choose the best option to satisfy your cravings. Sink your teeth into Pearl’s Good Eats, Coffee Shop, or the Snack Bar for all your snacking needs. 

7. Try Something New

If you’re ready for another wild adventure, board the Stompin’ Gator Off-Road Adventure that goes through the Florida wetlands and straight into a huge alligator pond! This huge monster truck ride keeps you and your entire family well above the water, but you’ll still want to hold on – it’s a bumpy ride!

There’s no question why Florida is known as the sunshine state. That sunshine is no joke! Cool off at the Gator Gully Splash Pad that features some unusual water sources crafted to resemble some of the parks’ most popular residents.
