Family Fun

Here in Kissimmee, we celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May, which means it’s right around the corner. So, what is mom getting this year? Sure, flowers are nice and chocolates are sweet, but a vacation to Kissimmee can’t be beat—especially if it’s a mother-daughter weekend getaway!

You two have been counting down the weeks and striking the days off the calendar. It’s time! Pack your bags, say goodbye to the rest of the family, and get ready for the ultimate mother-daughter adventure in Kissimmee.

Medieval Times

Friday, 5:00 p.m.: Once you arrive you’ll be pretty hungry, so kick your vacation off with a dinner fit for a Queen at Medieval Times. We mean this literally, as you’ll dine alongside Queen Maria Isabella and her royal court while watching knights compete to become a champion. You and your daughter will be thrilled by the non-stop action while enjoying the Queen’s favorite meal. And if you’re a vegetarian, don’t worry, the royal chefs will cook a special meal just for you!

Knights battle at Medieval Times

After your evening at Medieval Times, it’s time to indulge in some modern amenities—including comfy beds for a good night’s sleep—at your resort or vacation home. Whether you want the full resort experience at destinations like Omni Orlando Resort at Champions-Gate and Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center, or the comforts of a vacation home away from home—you’ll find the perfect accommodations in Kissimmee.

Walt Disney World® Resort

A Mother and Daughter at the Magic Kingdom Park

Saturday, 9:00 a.m.: Trust us, you’re going to appreciate those excellent accommodations, because today is going to be a big day! What better place to spend some time on a special Mother’s Day weekend than in “The Most Magical Place on Earth”? Visit Walt Disney World® Resort bright and early for a magical breakfast and a ride or two! Indulge your inner child and have a breakfast of Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles, bacon, eggs, potato wedges, toast....we're drooling just thinking about that. With your appetite fulfilled, make your way down Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom® Park for a day of fun and adventure.

Feel like you're walking the red carpet as you dine on Guy Fieri's amazing, over-the-top sandwiches and try classic favorites like the World Famous Chicken Crunch, all while exploring their awesome collection of legendary movie memorabilia. One thing’s for sure, a meal at Planet Hollywood is going to be an out-of-this-world experience.

Sunday 10:00 a.m.:  After breakfast, it’s time for some unforgettable adventure! You might want to watch Disney’s Brave first, then head over to the Screamin’ Gator Zip Line at Gatorland. Here, the two of you will soar on 1,200 feet of zipline across the park—and over a beach of sunbathing alligators! Trust us, this is an adventure she’ll be talking about for years to come.

Celebrity Day Spa at Star Island Resort

Sunday 2:30 p.m.: What a ride! Mom, is your hair standing on end? Lucky for you, this next activity is sure to have you feeling relaxed. Can you smell the essential oils and hear the relaxing music? That’s right, we’ve made it to the Celebrity Day Spa at the Star Island Resort and Club. Sit back and relax as your daughter is pampered with My First Spa package. Specifically made for girls 9 to 13, this package gives her the perfect manicure, pedicure, and facial.
