Kissimmee Attraction-Inspired Recipes at Home

Craving a little taste of Kissimmee? We’re sharing the recipes of popular dishes from our theme parks and restaurants around the destination so you can experience some of the magic from the comfort of your own home. Whether you change up the ingredients to make it your own or stay tried and true, these delicious bites and treats will surely be on your next weekly meal plan.

Dole Soft Serve

Summer’s almost here and to kick off the sunshine, why not indulge in a Dole Soft Serve? Frozen pineapple treat is light enough to eat on those hot summer days and this recipe is sure to make everyone happy! It might also take you back to Walt Disney World Resort, where you can find this popular dessert almost anywhere. This concoction serves four people so grab your glasses and enjoy.

What you need: 



Equipment:     
Blender 

Ingredients: 

  • 4 cups frozen pineapple 

  • 1/2 cup pineapple (or orange) juice 

  • 1/2 cup canned coconut milk
  • 
Sweetener of choice 

Recipe:

  1. Place the frozen pineapple, juice, and coconut milk in a blender. 

  2. Blend until combined in a slushy consistency. 

  3. Taste and add sweetener as needed until it’s to your liking. 

  4. Divide among four glasses and enjoy immediately.

Butter Brew

One sip of this sweet drink and you’ll be instantly transported to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Hogsmeade™ at Universal Orlando Resort. Until the gates are reopened, try this recipe at home! This one serves four members of your family and it’s sure to be the talk of the night. For more fun, try freezing or warming it up for a different delight.

What you need: 



Equipment:     

  • Hand mixer (or whisk and elbow grease)

  • Mixing bowl
  • 
4 Mugs, chilled in freezer   

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butterscotch or caramel sauce  
  • 
1/2 cup heavy (whipping) cream
  • 
2 liters cream soda


How to Make: 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the butterscotch or caramel sauce and heavy cream until thick and rich.
  2. 
Divide cream soda amongst frosted mugs, leaving space at the top. 

  3. Spoon the cream mixture on top of the soda.

  4. Enjoy immediately.


Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament-Inspired Roasted Chicken
 

Take it back to Medieval Times with this special dish inspired by the meal at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. This delicious roasted chicken recipe is great for the whole family or just for two. To really eat in the moment, watch The Sword in the Stone or A Knight’s Tale while chowing down.

What you need: 



Equipment:     

  • Sheet pan

  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 
¼ cup paprika
  • 
¼ cup minced garlic
  • 
¼ cup lemon pepper spice blend 

  • 2 tbsp Italian spice blend 

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken legs  

  • 1 tsp salt 



Recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Combine first six ingredients in a mixing bowl. 

  3. Add in the chicken legs and make sure they’re well coated in mixture. 

  4. Place in the fridge and marinate for 30 minutes. 

  5. Drain marinade and add chicken to baking sheet. 

  6. Roast for 45-50 minutes, until fully cooked. 

  7. Serve with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
