Did you know Mickey Mouse is getting his first-ever ride-through attraction in 2020? Starting March 4, it’s full steam ahead on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — complete with a brand-new Mickey Mouse cartoon where “Mouse rules apply”. That means you’re in for some unexpected twists and turns that will be fun for the entire family. And be on the lookout for those iconic ears: There are going to be more hidden Mickeys on this ride than anywhere else in the world!

An Evolution for Epcot

Epcot has always been known as a place where imagination takes flight. And just like that, Epcot is soaring into new heights in 2020 with new shows, attractions, and adventures.

In January, experience the Great White North in “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360” at the Canada pavilion — complete with a musical score by Canadian composer Andrew Lockington and narration by Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy. And at the France pavilion, be our guest at the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, which features narration from the original Mrs. Potts, Angela Lansbury.

Speaking of the France pavilion, this summer, everyone’s favorite tiny chef will be starring in his own new attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Join Remy on a race through Gusteau’s restaurant that’s sure to work up your appetite. Luckily, you can pay a visit to the new La Crêperie de Paris afterwards to fuel up with culinary delights from celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse.

And finally, a day in Epcot will soon be capped off with the largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Walt Disney World park. Get ready for the dazzling new show, “HarmonioUS” — a celebration of music and how it inspires people all around the world. There will be floating set pieces, choreographed moving fountains, plenty of pyrotechnics, and, of course, your favorite Disney tunes.

As the flowers bloom this upcoming spring, SeaWorld Parks & Resorts Orlando is launching something really special — their first launch coaster, Ice Breaker! If you’re looking for a chilling adrenaline rush, this is the coaster for you. After all, it features four launches, both backward and forward, all leading up to the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida. How steep? Try a 93-foot-tall spike with a 100-degree angle. Our heartbeat is racing just thinking about how cool this ride is going to be.

2020 isn’t just another year at LEGOLAND Florida Resort — they’ve proclaimed this the “Year of the Pirate”. What does this mean? Well, me hearties, it means you can join fellow buccaneers during PirateFest Weekends throughout April and May to meet famous swashbucklers and even learn some cool pirate sayings! Also in April, the brand-new Pirate Water Ski Show Adventure makes her maiden voyage featuring water stunts, skiing acrobatics, and lots of pirate humor. There’s no doubt about it, if you’re looking for plenty of vacation treasures, X marks the spot at LEGOLAND.

This spring, the chase is on at Universal Orlando Resort when The Bourne Stuntacular debuts. This all-new stunt show stars secret agent Jason Bourne is excitement you won’t want to miss. The show seamlessly blends stagecraft and film to follow the hero across three continents, all while outwitting sinister villains who are hot on his heels. One thing’s for sure, this show will leave you feeling thrilled and wondering, “How’d they do that?”

Pack Your Appetite

Foodies rejoice! You’ll have even more dining options in 2020, including Beatrix on the West Side of Disney Springs. This neighborhood restaurant, coffeehouse, and grab-and-go market takes you on a trip back in time to Palm Springs in the 50s and 60s. This is a perfect spot to find plenty of healthy food options along with fresh-squeezed juice cocktails. It’s vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan-friendly, but most importantly, it’s going to be really tasty!

Over at Pointe Orlando, you can take a tasty trip south of the border at KAVAS Tacos + Tequila. Set to open in September 2020, this Mexican restaurant will feature flavorful food and exciting nightly entertainment.

Promenade at Sunset Walk is also expanding its delicious dining options. In 2020, enjoy home-style Cuban cuisine at Estefan Kitchen — a vibrant restaurant, supper club, and night club. El Jefe Tequilas and Cocinas is also new this year, and they’re serving up more than 200 varieties of tequila to go along with tasty Mexican cuisine.

If it’s seafood you’re craving, cast your line at Lafayette’s Fish House and Music Hall. This new restaurant is serving up fresh seafood dishes along with a side order of live music seven nights a week. Finally, if it’s barbeque that speaks to you, head on over to BB’s World Famous Barbeque. These smoky, sweet dishes will have your mouth watering — just remember to save room for dessert!
