We all know by now that PokémonGo has taken the world by storm. Just today, after having lunch at The Loop, we stumbled upon a group of people camped out in front of Books-A-Million. I think that's the first time, in a long while, people have camped out in front of a book store. (The last time was definitely when they released the Twilight book series). It's understandable though, as you drive through the parking lot, four or five Pokémon at a time would pop up between PokéStops, so it is a good location to Catch ‘Em All.
Other than The Loop, where Pokémon apparently travel in packs, here are some other hotspots in Kissimmee for PokémonGo Masters:
Kissimmee Lakefront Park
This world-class waterfront with scenic views of Lake Tohopekaliga offers expansive walkways, rentable pavilions, BBQ grills, boating, fishing piers, and more! Recently the Lakefront has become the perfect spot to gather all your friends or make some new ones while searching for those very rare Pokémon. Check out the great views of the lake from the lighthouse, which seconds as a gym.
What You Might Find: Psyduck, Magikarp, Eevee, Krabby, Horsea, Poliwag, Oddish, Venonat, Slowpoke, Goldeen
Insights: While some prefer to pick a spot and stick to it, we've found that if you walk around you'll have a better chance of finding those rare ones like Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Ponyta, Abra, and Seel.
Old Town and FunSpot America
The streets of Old Town are no longer just known for their classic car cruises, now you will find several Pokéstops and even a gym lining the brick-paved path. Make sure to stop by for the Saturday Night Car Cruise! Just a short walk leads you to FunSpot America where you'll be able to catch Magikarp and other waterbound Pokémon that frequent the pond below the world's tallest SkyCoaster.
What You Might Find: Jigglypuff, Tangela, Weedle, Ekans, Doduo, Eevee, Metapod, Bellspout, Clefairy, Oddish
Insight: These are great spots for finding Pidgey, lots of them. While most of us have probably already found our fair share of Pidgey's, they do help raise your score and give your Stardust which you need to Power Up and Evolve your Pokemon. Old Town is also a popular hangout for Eevee, what will you Evolve yours into?
Downtown Celebration
The picture perfect town built by Disney has some new neighbors roaming the streets. You'll find plenty of Pokéstops and Gyms while you spend the day wandering around shopping and enjoying the views of Lake Rianhard. While you're there stop into the Celebration Bike Rental for a quick ride around the neighborhood.
What You Might Find: Psyduck, Magikarp, Eevee, Staryu, Koffing, Zubat
Insights: If you stay around Lake Rianhard on Front Street you can catch tons of Magikarp which will help you evolve to the Gyarados quicker. You can access two Pokéstops while sitting in the Columbia Restaurant so turn on a lure while you enjoy dinner and a glass of their famous sangria.
Disney Springs
New restaurants, shopping and entertainment are luring people to Disney Springs, but those aren't the only things. While many come to taste the new flavors restaurants like Frontera Cocina and Homecoming are offering up, it's also the 30 Pokéstops that have people staying and playing even later.
What You Might Find: Pidgey, Magikarp, Psyduck, Paras, Dratini, Staryu, Oddish
Insight: While a lot of the Pokémon you find at Disney Springs are common, it's a great spot to restock on Poké Balls and you'll find lots of other PokéMasters setting lures. So grab a bite to eat and relax near a Pokéstop.
Gatorland
Alligators can't scare the Pokémon away. Catch ‘em all between the gator shows and the high-flying Screamin' Gator Zipline. Here you'll find 14 PokéStops and a gym.
What You Might Find: Exeggcute, Psyduck, Magikarp, Ekans, Dratini
Insight: Gatorland was named one of the Top 5 Pokestops in SE Orlando and they are offering 50% off to Florida Residents through the end of July.
Have fun, but be sure to play safely and always be aware of your surroundings.
