Kissimmee is known for its proximity to all the Central Florida theme parks, but there's much more to Kissimmee than that. Here are some other fun ways to enjoy yourself while you're here.
Wild Florida Airboats & Gator Park. Wild Florida gives you authentic Florida experiences while exploring the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. You can skim along the surface of Lake Cypress in an airboat, looking for alligators, eagles, wild hogs, and other animals that call Florida home. You can also explore the Gator and Wildlife Park, with more than 200 exotic animals on display.
ICON Park. You'll find ICON Park on Orlando's International Drive. This $250 million entertainment complex has as its centerpiece the 400-foot observation wheel, The Wheel at ICON Park. You'll also find other unique attractions like Madame Tussaud's, the world's most famous celebrity wax attraction; Orlando SEA LIFE Aquarium, with more than 5,000 fascinating sea creatures in an interactive adventure; and Skeletons: Animals Unveiled, a one-of-a-kind museum featuring more than 400 animal skeletons.
Fun Spot America and Old Town. These two attractions are adjacent to each other, so you can enjoy both at the same time. Fun Spot America - Kissimmee offers multi-level go-karts, arcades, roller coasters, and other exciting thrill rides like the World's Tallest Skycoaster, a 300-foot extreme ride that lets you experience the thrill of jumping from a towering arch. Old Town Kissimmee is the re-creation of a classic Florida town that offers unique shops, delicious restaurants, and other unusual entertainments. Old Town frequently hosts concerts and events, and one of its most popular shows is the Saturday Nite Classic Car Cruise®, featuring hundreds of classic cars every Saturday night.
Shopping. You'll find lots of shopping in Central Florida, with stores ranging from upscale to unusual. The Florida Mall® is Central Florida's largest shopping center, encompassing more than 1.7 million square feet with over 250 stores, restaurants, and entertainment options, like American Girl, the M&M's World store, and the Crayola Experience (see below). If you're looking for great deals, you'll find them at Orlando Premium Outlets® - Vineland Ave. or Orlando Premium Outlets - International Drive, two premium shopping destinations that attract customers from around the world.
Crayola Experience Orlando. Located at the Florida Mall, the Crayola Experience is a family-centered, hands-on exploration of creativity. You'll find 26 different attractions and experiences, including creating your own crayons, 4-D coloring adventures, and more.
Gatorland. Explore the Alligator Capital of the World at Gatorland, a showcase featuring thousands of alligators and crocodiles, an aviary, a petting zoo, animal shows, and more. Forever Florida. You'll find lots of eco-adventures at Forever Florida, including exciting zip lines, horseback safaris through the Florida wilderness, nature tours, and camping. This permanent protective habitat lets visitors explore native ecosystems while educating them on the importance of conservation.
Hot air balloon rides. Another way you can enjoy Central Florida's natural beauty is by flying above it aboard a hot air balloon.
