What To Pack For A Day At A Water Park

Spending the day at a water park is the ultimate way to cool down, get some quality time in with the fam, and have tons of fun. The sounds of summer are rushing waters, screams of delight, and sighs of relaxation. The great thing about visiting a water park is that you really don’t need to bring a lot with you to have a great time. But, there are some things you absolutely should pack. Use this helpful infographic to make packing for your day at one of Kissimmee’s many water parks a breeze!
Reach Out For Rules
Before you pack your bags, find out what the waterpark you’re visiting does or doesn’t allow. You can check their website’s FAQ section, or give them a call. Here are some things to consider:
- What kind of outside food or drink is allowed, and how should it be packed?
- Are lockers available for rental?
- Are waterproof cameras allowed?
- Should you bring a stroller, or are they available to rent?
- Can you bring pool floaties, or are life vests available?
Do your research ahead of time to avoid any surprises.
Pack Your Bags
Now that you know what extras you can and cannot bring, we can move on to the essentials! When packing, we suggest you bring the following:
Should We? Or Shouldn’t We?
We suggest that you leave personal or valuable items (i.e. jewelry, watches, or expensive cameras) at home for the day. Jewelry and watches can slip off in the water, or pose a danger on a high-speed ride. If you can, leave the phone at home, in your car, or in a rented locker. Take in all the memories in the moment or pick up a disposable camera or waterproof camera.
Let’s Jump In!
Pull on your most comfortable clothing before heading to the water park – think shorts, a tank top, and flip-flops to be worn on your way to the waterpark. These clothing combinations are pretty easy to slip into and out of, leaving more time dedicated to fun!
When it comes to swimwear, make sure it’s comfy, as you’ll be wearing it almost all day. Some parks may not allow large cover-ups or shirts to be worn over bathing suits on rides. Don’t bring swimsuits that have adornments like zippers, belts, rivets, buttons, ties, etc. They may not be allowed on certain rides in case they do damage or get caught on something. No one wants a wardrobe malfunction!
