When it comes to fully experiencing a place while on vacation, it’s hard to beat checking out the local beer scene. And while Kissimmee is known for its world-famous theme parks, there’s a hidden gem in nearby St. Cloud sure to appeal to travelling beer enthusiasts.

Situated in the former St. Cloud U.S. Post Office, Reprise Brewery is everything you’d expect from the most notable beer destinations. Historic town? Check. Nondescript building? Check. Food trucks? Check. Board games and comfy seating? Check and check. Live music? Check one, two, three.

Owned and operated by two local music teachers, their background is evident in the beer names: TchaikovTea Russion Tea Hefeweizen, Fortissimo Double IPA, and Pianissimo Imperial Peppermint Porter, among others.

The music motif carries through in the design and atmosphere of the brewery space itself. Guitar art and records on the walls let you see the music, but there’s always music in the air as well. Whether pumping tunes out of the turntable (guests have been known to bring in and spin their own vinyls from personal collections) or live jams from the stage, the ears are in for a treat, too.

And then there’s the beer. One of the best parts about visiting breweries is the taster flight. You get to sample multiple varieties and recipes without overindulging, and you might snag a badge or two on Untappd in the process. Of course, the flight carrier is musically inspired as well, taking on a distinctive eighth note shape. But the test for any brewery is what’s in the mug.

From staples like wheat ale and IPAs to unique twists like mango blonde and hot chocolate milk stout, not only are the recipes spot on, but the variety is balanced enough for reinheitsgebot purists and hipster critics alike. Exceptionally bright to style, inviting nose, appropriate mouthfeel, and satisfying flavor across the board will make this stop a worthwhile addition to your Kissimmee vacation.
