LEGOLAND® Florida Resort Celebrates Fifth Birthday

A man high fives a life-sized LEGO character as confetti falls around them during the LEGOLAND 5-year celebration.

LEGOLAND® Florida Resortwill celebrate its fifth birthday on October 15 and in the spirit of celebration, here are the top five things that you and your little ones cannot miss out on during your next visit to the park!

In LEGO® City, you're never too young to take control. Captain your own mini-vessel at Boating School, race to put out the fire at Rescue Academy, earn your own LEGOLAND® driver's license at the Ford Driving School or get ready for takeoff at Flying School!

Even the youngest guests will find themselves having a blast at DUPLO® Valley. Little ones can climb aboard the DUPLO® Train and ride along on the DUPLO® Tractor or they can visit the Tot Spot's colorful playhouse and slide. On the sunniest of Florida days, visit the Splash & Play, offering interactive water elements and the most fun and refreshing way to cool off!

MINILAND USA will take you on a trip around the state, the nation and a galaxy, far, far away-all in one day! MINILAND USA contains over 32 million LEGO bricks which includes scale models of the Daytona International Speedway, Kennedy Space Center, the San Francisco skyline, Times Square, our nation's capital and scenes from the six Star Wars films.

While you're enjoying a day at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, don't forget to explore Cypress Gardens, which pays homage to the park's predecessor. The botanical garden and theme park which operated from 1936 until 2009 became one of the biggest attractions in Florida, known for its popular water ski shows, pristine gardens, Southern Belles and the Florida Pool-a pool shaped in the state of Florida. The pool was restored in 2013 and is now filled with LEGO bricks!

Become the Ninja when LEGO® NINJAGO® World, an all-new theme park land, opens on January 12, 2017! NINJAGO World will put guests at the center of the action through the fully-immersive 4-D Ninjago World ride, which seats up to four guests per vehicle and allows guests to travel through dojos while using their hands to blast animated fireballs, lightning and ice! Other fun activities include Cole's Rock Climb, Zane's Temple Build and Jay's Lightning Drill in which guests can measure their reflexes with "lightning fast" light-up targets. The area will also feature daily meet-and-greet opportunities with sibling ninjas Kai and Nya. And while we haven't experienced NINJAGO World yet, we know it will be on your top five!

And no birthday is complete without enjoying a delicious dessert! Stop by the Heartlake Ice Cream Parlor for a frozen treat or Firehouse Ice Cream for hand-dipped ice cream, floats and sundaes before you leave!
