Most of our incredible accommodation partners here in sunny Kissimmee are ready to welcome you back. You’ll see many new enhancements at these resorts and vacation homes to help keep you, your family, and the staff safe. These guidelines are in compliance with the CDC safety measures ensuring rooms and homes are up to the highest cleaning standard. Remember to always call ahead, as some resorts are now cashless, have limited amenities, and policy changes. That way, you can be ready for a stress-free, well-deserved getaway!
Q: What are the precautionary measures in public spaces at the different accommodations?
A: Most resorts and vacation home rentals use EPA-approved disinfectants that are hospital-grade cleaners. You’ll see team members and staff all wearing masks and gloves. And all high-traffic areas are disinfected regularly.
Q: Where do you have to wear a mask at the resorts?
A: The short answer is everywhere that other people are gathered. All individuals over the age of 2 must wear face masks in all public areas in Osceola County, which is where all our fabulous resorts and vacation homes are located. You’ll see signage placed around the common areas to remind guests to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines.
Q: What amenities are open at the different vacation home properties and resorts?
A: Before booking a vacation home or resort, please check which amenities are open by visiting their webpages – as they may vary. That way, you can be sure that your location has exactly what you’re looking for to make your getaway exactly what you need it to be.
- Most swimming pools are currently open and follow enhanced safety precautions – which is great for a hot Florida summer day. Pool chairs, tables, and umbrellas will be sprayed and sanitized between each use to keep everyone swimming and smiling safely. Chairs in most locations are folded down after each cleaning so guests know which ones are cleaned and ready for use. They’ll also be separated by 6 feet. Pool decks are sanitized and pressure washed each day. And if you’re looking for even more space for your family day by the pool, cabanas are available upon reservation at certain resort properties and include private pool lounges and a personal refrigerator. You can call the front desk at your select resort property for more information.
- Fitness centers at some resorts are open for those looking to get in a workout while visiting our sunny destination. Sanitation wipes are available for guests before and after each use of the equipment. Masks may be required in some on-site fitness facilities to keep everyone healthy and happy.
- Shuttles will operate around the property for internal transportation at many of the resorts and vacation home rentals. Drivers will wear masks and seats will be wiped down after each guest. Check if your accommodation location offers a shuttle service by contacting the front desk or visiting the resort or vacation home webpage.
- Golf courses remain open daily throughout Kissimmee and at our many golf resort properties. Guests need to make a tee time before arriving. Pro Shop staff takes time to disinfect all golf carts.
Q: How often are the common areas and individual guest rooms cleaned?
A: The new CDC guidelines are enforced by our vacation home and resort properties to ensure the utmost cleanliness and safety for your visit. Each villa and room will be thoroughly cleaned including washing and drying all towels, sheets, and comforters at high temperatures. High-touch surfaces including doorknobs, clothes hangers, light switches, stair railings, telephones, and touch screens will be cleaned continually. These surfaces are cleaned with hospital-grade, EPA-approved disinfectants. Full housekeeping resumes after a three-night stay at some properties. Vacation homes will be deep cleaned after each family stay. Trash removal has been suspended at most properties and is available upon request.
Yes, these are a lot of safety measures, and it’s all to ensure that all Kissimmee visitors can arrive with peace of mind that their accommodations are safe and splendid for your stay. Q: Are there restaurants or bars open on property?
A: Many resorts and vacation home properties continue to offer on-site dining. Dining room seating is reduced to 25% in most dining locations. Bars don’t currently have seating available and drinks can only be ordered at sit-down locations. Hand sanitizer stations are available for all employees and guests so you can apply as often as you’d like. All parties will be separated 6 feet apart. Increased sanitation protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), single-use menus and utensils are all present. Select restaurants at some properties are open with limited capacity and hours of operation.
Q: How are the staff taking precautions (gloves, washing hands, etc.)?
A: Thorough training on social distancing methods, personal protection, cleaning, and hygienic actions are in place. All staff is provided with PPE including face masks and disposable gloves. Staff is then temperature checked before each shift.
Troubleshooting maintenance requests are now virtual at most properties, so you’ll have no need to worry. If on-site visits are required, maintenance teams will remain a safe distance and ask guests to not be present during the visit. Also, they’ll be required to wear face masks, gloves, and shoe coverings.
Q: What’s the check-in process like?
A: You’ll notice that plexiglass partitions have been installed at the front desk for most properties for both employee and guest safety. Some properties even require remote check-in for guests (which makes it even easier!). When possible, vacation home properties are scheduling guests to check into their vacation home at least 24 hours after the unit has been cleaned and inspected by the team. Most vacation rentals have a 24-hour hold between each occupant for safety.
