In the season finale of The Kissimmee Experience, acclaimed photographer and conservationist Ami Vitale joined host Jen Bonner for an unforgettable journey through two of Central Florida’s most inspiring spaces: Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Where Conservation Comes to Life

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, every path leads to adventure, from the breathtaking Tree of Life to the thrill of Expedition Everest. But beyond the excitement lies something truly extraordinary: Rafiki’s Planet Watch, home to the Conservation Station. Here, guests can get a behind-the-scenes look at the park’s veterinary and animal care facilities, including the Veterinary Treatment Room, Nutrition Center, and Science Center.

During their visit, Ami and Jen met with Dr. Scott Terrell to learn how Disney’s veterinarians care for hundreds of species and preserve wildlife habitats around the world. Bok Tower Gardens: Harmony in Every Note

A short drive from the theme parks, Bok Tower Gardens offers a completely different kind of magic — one defined by peace, beauty, and the music of nature. Rising 205 feet above the rolling hills, the famous Singing Tower houses a rare carillon with 60 bronze bells, weighing up to 12 tons each. Visitors can enjoy daily concerts echoing through the lush gardens, creating a symphony of sound and stillness.

As Ami and Jen explored the grounds, they paused beneath the oak trees draped in Spanish moss, which was a perfect spot to slow down, reflect, and take in the gentle Florida breeze. Surrounded by vibrant blooms and the sounds of nature, it’s easy to see why so many travelers find inspiration here.
