The 2019 Kissimmee Round Up

It’s hard to believe, but we’re almost at the end of 2019. And here in Kissimmee, this was a year for the ages. There was time to race through forbidden forests at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, celebrate food from all around the world at Epcot, and explore a galaxy far, far away at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There were new rides, classic attractions celebrating milestones, and some of the most spectacular shows and parades ever! 

Best of all, visitors had their cameras out every step of the way — taking awesome photos and sharing them with us. And now, we want to share some of them with you! Here are a few of our favorite Kissimmee moments from 2019.

And if you'd rather chill by the water, there's time for that as well! Dip your toes at Universal's Volcano Bay — where, rumor has it, the volcano keeps the water temperature just right! 

From our world-class theme parks to local attractions and resorts (like the Reunion Resort & Golf Club), we hope wherever you go in Kissimmee, you have a smile as big as this little one’s!

Food in Kissimmee

If you're a foodie, Kissimmee is the place to be! From sweet treats to fancy feasts, visitors enjoyed all kinds of photogenic food in 2019. Here are a few favorites — served up fresh, of course!

As colorful as they are tasty, the macarons from Le Macaron French Pastries are the perfect treat for any occasion. And with 20 different flavors to choose from, you'll love trying them all!

When it comes to chips and dip, you're sure to love snacking on these from Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville at Universal CityWalk. If fact, just one bite might have you yelling "Holy guacamole!"

And if dessert is something you love to taco ‘bout, then be sure to try the Minnie Dessert Taco from the Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet food truck at Disney Springs. It's the cherry on top of any delicious day.

Animals in Kissimmee

Animal lovers and Kissimmee go together like Mickey and Pluto, like Harry™ and Hedwig™, li—well, you get the idea. Whether visiting a four-legged friend or stopping in to say “hello” to the animals of Kissimmee, visitors definitely answered the call of the wild here in 2019.

Making a special connection with an animal friend is an unforgettable experience — one that visitors of all ages can have at SeaWorld Parks & Resorts Orlando.

Did you know there's more than just gators at Gatorland? You'll also find tortoises, wildcats, snakes, and more! Even flamingos like these two call Gatorland home.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight. Here's proof that even a king needs his beauty sleep over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. What do you think he’s dreaming about?

From the out-of-this-world sights at the theme parks to the stunning beauty of natural Florida, there’s a lot to take in here. And in 2019, visitors captured it all from their different points of view.

Taking to the skies with Orlando Balloon Adventures is a perfect way to see all the sights Central Florida has to offer. An early morning balloon flight like this one is sure to light up your day.

Of course, you can still see breathtaking sights from the ground as well. Just take a look at this spectacular sunset near the Partners statue at Magic Kingdom. 

It's beautiful all year round here, but when the tree goes up in Celebration Town Center, the views start to get really special, wouldn't you agree?

The entire Sesame Street gang is here for the Sesame Street parade at SeaWorld Orlando, including Cookie Monster. He wants you to know that, in this case, C is for "Cool photo".

Sometimes, rides (like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) are so immersive that you feel like you're part of the show. Here, you can get your chance to be a star in a galaxy far, far away!

Fireworks in Kissimmee

We’re capping off our look back on 2019 the same way so many of the favorite attractions cap off every day — with epic fireworks!

It's easy to feel completely spellbound by this remarkable firework display over Hogwarts™ Castle.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks display always looked amazing lighting up the night above Epcot. It was a show you’ll never forget but just wait until you see the new fireworks show, Epcot Forever.

The characters, the lights, the wonder — moments like this one really put the magic in Magic Kingdom.
