International Eateries

All-American diners, pancake houses and burger joints abound in this neck of the woods, but Kissimmee is also home to a surprising number of international restaurants, too. Designed to tempt taste buds with out-of-this-world flavors, these spots encourage diners to sideline the burgers and fries for a meal or two and opt instead for an adventure of the culinary kind at eclectic eateries.

Tastes of Europe

Perched on the shores of Lake Rianhard in Celebration's Town Center, the chic Café D'Antonio wows guests with an Italian lunch and dinner menu packed with favorites like house made lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken Marsala, all infused with the authentic flavors of Italy.
All of Britain's legendary dishes, including Scotch Eggs, Shepard's Pie and Steak and Kidney Pie, abound at the bona fide Fox & Hounds Pub in Kissimmee. Enjoy the jovial vibe, lots of beers on tap and a few rounds of darts while you're there.

Tarantino's Italian Restaurant, owned by third generation restaurateurs, is always packed with locals who have come to love the reliable, authentic cuisine that continuously emerges from the kitchen. Chefs don't veer far from traditional fare, which means the menu is filled with commonplace offerings such as Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Parmigiana, but that adherence to the time-honored cuisine of Italy translates into wonderful flavors perfected over decades.

Latin American Flavors

With roots leading back to Mexico City, the family owned Azteca's Mexican Restaurant in Downtown Kissimmee has earned a dedicated, loyal following thanks to its gracious service, tasty margaritas and sizzling fajitas.

The legendary Columbia Restaurant's sister restaurant in Tampa is Florida's oldest eatery, which should give some indication as to how perfected the cuisine is. Chefs at the Celebration location pride themselves on serving flavorful Cuban and Spanish fare from the huge menu of small plates and entrees. The 1905 Salad and pitchers of delicious sangria, both of which are delightfully prepared tableside, are house favorites.

Ceviche and tapas abound at the Spanish-inspired Fuego Restaurant inside the Melia Orlando Suite Hotel at Celebration. Besides great fusion food, the restaurant also features dozens of wines by the glass and bottle, as well as live music most nights of the week either in the ritzy bar or outside by the pool.

Bright and bustling, El Tapatio regularly receives rave reviews for its fresh fare, generous portions and mariachi band entertainment. There's also a surprisingly vast selection of Mexican beers, which pair perfecting with the menu's delicious quesadillas, enchiladas and chimichangas.

Ideal for a quick bite or take-out meal, the Puerto Rican and Hispanic Melao Bakery offers everything from savory sandwiches and burgers to sweet cakes and pastries. Using traditional ingredients, such as plantain and yucca, cooks create the restaurant's signature offering, Mofongos, which can be served vegetarian or with various meat and seafood choices.

Asian Fusion

Dinner with a show is what's on deck at the interactive Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, designed to give guests an up-close view of the cooking process. Diners sit around giant grills where the restaurant's infamous Teppanyaki or Hibachi fare is playfully whipped up right before their eyes.

A favorite among downtown Celebration's many epicurean offerings, Thai Thani serves up the beloved cuisine of Thailand, including curries, Phad Thai and Satay, onto plates inside this colorful milieu. House specialties include Phad Poong Karee, a yellow curry stir-fry packed with seafood and veggies. Be sure to culminate the experience with the delectable deep-fried sliced bananas that are served wrapped in pastry skin and slathered in honey.

Taste of Punjab is one of the most highly rated international restaurants in Kissimmee. A full lunch and dinner menu of authentic entrees are offered alongside more than a dozen different types of bread and accompaniments, including the much loved Mint and Sweet Mango Chutneys.
