The Senses spa at the Grand Floridian was completely remodeled last year and just reopened back in December. If you've been to the Grand Floridian, you know it’s turn-of-the-century elegance mixed with modern touches. The spa follows suit. Here are a few reasons to love Senses: The design Disney, as usual, took the time to add really special touches throughout the spa. When you walk through the old Victorian-style entryway, you’ll see a giant mural that features and old Florida landscape. And down the hallway in the Jacuzzi room is another one. Sit and stare at the thousands of glass tiles that swirl around to create patterns that include several hidden Mickeys, butterflies and dragonflies. It’s mesmerizing. The “healthy cupcakes” The mini zucchini and carrot muffins (or the dark chocolate banana, depending on the season) taste way too good to be healthy. Add to this tea or healthy fruit juices in pomegranate, strawberry or mango, cucumber-basil infused water and antioxidant gummies in fun flavors like mango curry, and you’ll be ready for your treatment in no time. The treatments There are 15 luxury treatment rooms offering full-service pampering. Choose from creative treatments like water-therapy, aromatherapy, sugar exfoliation, a rejuvenating citrus facial or a restorative hand-and-foot ritual with Chinese Jasmine oils. There are also treatments customized to the kiddos such as a the Magical Manicure or Princess Pedicure. The playful Mad-Hatter-themed green pedi chair is the perfect touch.
