, that is!
Since childhood I have had wonderful memories of Magic Kingdom. Special time with my family that truly was magical! Each time I catch that first view of the Cinderella Castle, I always tear up, I can't help it! This year, bringing all of my extended family (all 21 of us!), was no exception on the tear-factor!
In past years, we have visited Disney during Christmas, Spring break and late January. This year was the first time that we had visited in February. Having a large group with a lot of children we were hoping for small crowds. In January the crowds were less but this year in February it was much busier than we had expected. In most websites February is considered a moderate season, though to our suprise we had much longer wait times than we have hoped for. Thank goodness for Fast Passes! That was the only way we were able to get on some of the rides! Check on websites like Undercover Tourist, AllEars, or Mousesavers for information on seasonal attendance to know what to expect.
has opened! The area is pretty similar so far as to what it was when we were there two years ago but now the Dumbo
ride is double the fun! And there is a new Casey Jr. Splash 'N Soak Station
where kids can cool off playing with squirts and mists of water. I didn't try it myself, but it did look like a lot of fun! One of the attractions I can't wait to try is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. From what I could see it looks like it will be another great Disney ride opening in 2014!
Some of my boys' favorite rides include Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain (which unfortunately was being redone while we were there!), Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Jungle Cruise, It's a Small World, Buzz's Space Ranger Spin, and Tomorrowland Speedway. A favorite place to eat is Casey's Corner. They love the hot dogs there and prices aren't too bad either.

While you are at Magic Kingdom, the fireworks at the end of the day are always a highlight, but this year for the first time, my boys got to see the Electrical Parade! I remember seeing it years ago, and we all loved it! There are two showings a night. We saw the earlier show, which was busy. I was told the later show is less busy.
If you only have one day in your schedule to go to Walt Disney World, my pick would be to go to Magic Kingdom. This theme park has something for everyone in the family!
