In a previous post, I talked about antique shopping at Renninger's in Mt. Dora. But guess do NOT have to drive that far for awesome shops because you can visit historic downtown Kissimmee! During my last guest posting experience with i.see.Kissimmee, my family visited downtown Kissimmee for the very first time. Since then, we are now regular visitors for delicious local restaurants, food truck bazaars by The Daily City (yes, we follow the Yum Yum Cupcake truck) and wonderful antique shops. For this Staycation, visiting downtown Kissimmee topped our list! The Kissimmee Civic Center is the place where the Kissimmee Farmer's Market is held every Tuesday from 4 pm to 8 pm. We made our way there to check out the locally grown produce, plants and baked goods. My son found some delicious cookies! It's a small farmer's market but fits in perfectly with the quaintness of the town.

We decided to walk off our cookies and visited a few antique shops to search for treasures. We are renovating a house, and luckily found this amazing brass horse door stop at Lanier's Historic Downtown Marketplace as well as some glass door knobs. The folks at Lanier's are always so friendly, which is another reason we love visiting.

We continued strolling and checked out small stores along the way. Directly across from Lanier's is Echoes of Yesterday and we always find great merchandise there! It's a much smaller store but is organized and easy to see everything.

Downtown Kissimmee has so much charm, it's hard to believe that just a few miles away there are theme parks and touristy things everywhere. We needed this non-stressful day for our Staycation, it allowed us to appreciate the quiet things that Kissimmee has to offer! Plus, we didn't have to fight huge crowds while shopping.
